This year our family decided not to exchange gifts with adults and to donate the money would would have spent to the food bank. After just a bit of research we found that 2nd Harvest gets 6 pounds of food for every dollar donated. My sister, Josh and I took the kids down to drop off our donations yesterday. They took us on a little tour of the warehouse and explained how things work to the kids. They were all very attentive, it was cute to see them all following along.
Eli and Katelynn were very excited to give our food and money to those who aren't as lucky as we are. We're all very blessed and should count our lucky stars everyday.
