We had Katelynn's first solo night and our first snow fall all at the same time. Katelynn was pretty excited to have us all to herself but she did make a few comments that really showed she missed Eli. After we dropped E off we came back to the house for a bit and let her play some computer games. Then she decided she wanted to go to the movie store...she picked a Strawberry Shortcake movie (no good) for herself and got Eli the new Ice Age. After the movie store we went to dinner, Applebee's of course. Then it was up to Shopko for a bit. Josh and I were very sneaky and managed to get her and Eli Christmas presents while we were there. She was too busy looking at all the toys to notice the cart was getting awfully full underneath my jacket. By the time we got home she was pooped and just wanted to get in her jammies and watch her movie. Eli called and she really really really wanted to talk to him so they chatted for a few minutes and then it was back to her movie and off to bed.
It is so nice to be able to spend time with them alone. 2 adults with 1 kid is pretty easy!!
