We went camping to Sun Lakes with my brother and Nichole in the end of July. What a fun trip. We had great weather and a lot of fun. Our campsite could have been better.....we were in FULL sun in the morning and WOW was it hot!! Both mornings we were up and out of there by 9:30.
A little hike behind our campsite. We were on the edge of the campground so we had lots of room to play. Very nice for keeping kids happily entertained!!
Note to self.....do not allow your children to ride on your laps in a campground, even if you're only going 5mph. We got ourselves in a little trouble, the rangers pulled us over and gave us a $124 ticket. Katelynn being the adorable talker that she is informed the ranger "my Dad made a very bad decision". At least that got a chuckle out of him.
Playing with Willie. Willie and the kids had a great time in the water.
Kyle and Nichole
One of the many bike rides. It was such a beautiful place, I'd love to go back but maybe to a different campground. The sites were a tad small and right on top of each other. But the weather and beach made up for it.
Eli fishing at our semi private beach. There were a few little spots away from the main swimming area and we grabbed one up first thing in the morning and spent the whole day there. Lots of swimming, eating, playing and laughing.
Lunch at the beach.
"Pride Rock" This huge rock was at the back of our campsite. The kids played on it a ton. They'd head up with snacks and walkie talkies and be happily entertained for what seemed like hours.
A little love on Pride Rock
We stopped at Dry Falls on our way home. What a beautiful place.
"I can't see anything, it's just the sky Mom". Shorty couldn't see very well but she tried.
Our dirty family. One more downfall to the campground....man it was filthy.
