1. Stains means stings. he he he.
2. Katelynn is totally into nighties right now (another post to follow on this).
3. Candyland has made a HUGE comeback and K continues to win most of the time.
4. The movie of choice at the moment is Princesses......even E enjoys watching. I think he'd rather spend his time with Bugs Life though.
5. Pretend play is also HUGE.....whether its playing games they've made up, being animals, telling stories, playing with toys.....its all so funny to listen to and watch when we can!!
6. Katelynn is almost ALWAYS a dog now, named Jasmine or Willy depending on whether she wants to be a girl or boy dog. A common statement at home right now is "Be a person, I need to talk to you". Or when she's hurt or wants something it's more of a whimper cry...half dog/half kid! Its interesting!
7. Eli loves to learn, I mean loves to learn!! He's mastering math (ok simple math but still!!) Josh gave him.....if you had 7 apples and I ate 3 how many would you have left....."4!!" (said like 'duh Dad 4, of course, why would you ask me such a stupid question'). And spelling too. He is great at sounding out words and putting it all together.
8. Spicy food = lemons, limes, sour patch kids etc, basically anything with a lot of flavor.
9. Josh's 'secret sayings' with them: Eli and Josh: Peace and Chicken Grease. Katelynn and Josh (at K's urging): Peace and Hot Dog Grease.
10. One of Eli's passions still is and always has been.....balls. Most recently golf balls. He has about 25 and plays with them ALL the time but has to play with ALL of them together. Needless to say on our floors its a ton of fun but man is it loud!!
11. Rough housing with Daddy is huge too. Every night about 10 seconds after he gets in the door the kids begin to 'clobber' and 'hockey fight' him. Of course this leads to multiple injuries and tears. Just today they were throwing a stuffed ball at each other, aiming for the face. Recipe for disaster you ask......yup. E was wounded. During the aftermath Josh said "we were all doing it and having fun, don't look at me" Really, who is the adult here?!
12. Food, yup still an issue. One of these days Katelynn is just going to disappear. She eats like a bird. They're still picky and won't try things. Honestly I gave up on the battle for a bit. I'm just used to making something for them and something for us. At least they love fruits and veggies. I figure it'll all work itself out in the end......pick and choose your battles, right?!
13. They both absolutely LOVE going to the gym daycare. They have made fast friends with kids and staff both. Their favorite 'teacher' is Stephanie and she seems to love them just as much.
14. Bedtime games are still ever present....will there be a day when they don't have to potty 14 seconds after getting in bed?!
Ok, that's prolly enough for now.....you know me I could go on and on about my little monkeys!!
